    About the Position: This position is located with the US Army Engineer District, Los Angeles, Operations Division, Emergency management Branch, Los Angeles, CA.

    Responsibilities

    • Serves as the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) coordinator, responsible for the operational readiness of the District EOC.
    • Develops, updates, and implements EOC Standard Operating Procedures to insure smooth operations of the EOC, including secure communications.
    • Provides support to either the NEPP or Natural Disaster Programs; activates the EOC and performs various tasks to facilitate data collection and distribution, preparation of messages and situation reports
    • Develops and maintains and Emergency Response Personnel Roster and serves as the Overseas Contingency Operations program manager for the District.
    • Primary lead for the Deployable Tactical Operations Systems (DTOS) and team.
    • Assists the Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies (FCCE) and National Emergency Preparedness Program (NEPP) Program Managers with implementation of their programs.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business travel is approximately 20% of the time.
