This position is located in the BLM Business, Fiscal and Information Resources Directorate. Major duties include, but are not limited to:
Candidates must meet all qualification requirements as identified in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook. This position is under the Administrative and Management Qualification Standards.
Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade of the position to be filled.
For the GS-14 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. Examples of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent include: performing in depth financial systems analysis and assisting in the design, development, and support of automated financial systems; providing expert knowledge of financial management principles as they relate to automated systems processing and finance operations; planning and implementing process improvements relative to large-scale budgetary and financial operations, systems, policies, and procedures in support of budget execution processes as well as audit readiness; and providing high-level financial systems expertise to senior leadership to help carry out financial operations and principles with allocated resources.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no substitution for education at the GS-14 grade level.

Work Environment: Work is conducted in a properly lighted, ventilated, and temperature-controlled office setting, devoid of unusual risks or discomforts.
Physical Demands: The incumbent's work is mostly sedentary, with periods of occasional stress related to intensive concentration, conflict resolution, and meeting tight deadlines. Work requires some temporary duty travel, mostly by air, but driving long distances could be involved to various departmental and Bureau offices, state/regional offices, and various other federal agency offices nationwide as needed.
