Specialized Experience Requirements:
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the specialized experience requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. For the GS-13 level: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. There is no substitution for education at the GS-13 or GS-14 grade level.

Physical Demands: The work generally takes place in an office setting in Washington, D.C. No specific physical effort or ability is required to perform the work, except that frequent travel by air and land to BLM offices and other locations in the western states and Alaska is required and occasional travel to field locations at extreme elevations and climate, and hiking or travel by off-highway vehicle, small plane or helicopter in remote areas may be required.

KSA 2: Ability to prepare both long and short range asset management program plans. Thorough familiarity with risk, liability, fiscal or management analysis as applied to the management of Federal assets.
KSA 3: Knowledge of a wide range asset management functions including procurement, property utilization and disposal, quality assurance, transportation, funds control, inventory management, and storage and distribution sufficient to independently analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems associated with asset management and planning.
KSA 4: Ability to communicate clearly, succinctly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to prepare and present clear, concise and complete briefing materials on complex decisions.
