    This position is a Supervisory IT Specialist, located in Data Migration and Management within the Technology and Integration Office for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Electronic Health Record Modernization (OEHRM), within the Office of the Deputy Secretary of VA (DEPSECVA).

    Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with traveland to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees maycarry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts. The work does not require any specialphysical effort.

    Major Duties:

    • Manage and oversee the data migration and management functions and operations and is the principal advisor for strategic planning and oversight for Data Migration and Management.
    • Identify and address workforce planning and management issues within Data Migration andManagement, such as recruitment, training, retention, and development of a robust workforce.
    • Brief OEHRM's stakeholders to keep them abreast of Data Migration and Management functional and organizational matters.
    • Initiate and manage special technical studies and projects of a highly confidential and complexnature related to executing the OEHRM mission.
    • Promote and support information sharing, connectivity, and interoperability between EHRM and other federal agencies

    Travel Required

    25% or less - You may be expected to 25% travel for this position.
