The San Francisco District is comprised of civilian personnel organized into divisions, including Program and Project Management, Engineering and Technical Services, Operations and Readiness, Regulatory, and Resource Management.

    • Provides advice to potential applicants/permittees concerning regulatory requirements.
    • Meets with applicants, violators and representative to clarify issues and solve problems.
    • Issues public notices and determines need for public hearing based on results.
    • Coordinates permit activities, environmental documentation and enforcement activities.
    • Evaluates proposed project plans regarding wetland evaluation and waters of the U.S.
    • Evaluates projects encompassing the discharge of dredged or fill material.
    • Prepares environmental assessments and Statement of Findings.
    • Maintains administrative record for all project files.
    • At the GS-11 level position may be a dedicated Santa Clara Valley Water District Project Manager.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Business Travel (TDY) is approximately 10 - 20% of the time.
