    Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology in Springfield, VA. This position may be affected by a planned relocation to Ashburn, VA. Relocation is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2021, although the date is subject to change.

    Joining Customs and Border Protection, Office of Information and Technology will allow you to use your expertise in IT principles, concepts and methods to support IT systems and services. This position starts at a salary of $134,789.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $164,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $164,200.00 (GS-15, Step 10).     In this Program Manager (Senior Program Advisor) position you will become a key team member of Homeland Security professionals. Typical work assignments include:

    • Overseeing and recommending improvement or implementation on a variety of technical programs, including, but not limited to: supporting the Chief Information Officer (CIO) Governance Board (CGB) with Information Technology (IT) modernization, IT Program Execution, IT Metrics, and Action Item Tracking.
    • Providing the Office of information and Technology (OIT), Deputy Assistant Commissioner (DAC) with recommendations for action; including, fully-documented conclusions, which the OIT DAC may accept, modify, or reject.
    • Coordinating the review and analysis of all policy proposals of direct interest to the OIT DAC
