    This position is located in the Sports Diplomacy Division (ECA/PE/C/SU), Office of Citizen Exchanges, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Department of State. The Sports Diplomacy Division’s programs promote women’s empowerment, inclusion for people with disabilities and other marginalized populations, peaceful conflict resolution, entrepreneurism, sports management, health and diversity in sports.

    • Designs and schedules sports exchange programs to include all elements such as conflict resolution, gender equity, sports and disabilities, sports and health, and sports as it relates to the different communities.
    • Based on sociological, economic, political and/or other related criterion, recruits sports figures to represent the U.S. to meet specific policy and/or program goals and to respond to congressional interest.
    • Initiates and acts on recommendations for policy, program and operational improvements recommended as a result of grants and program monitoring activities.
    • Reviews each specific proposal's potential to produce intended program results and evaluates proposed budgets for appropriate expenditure, cost sharing, feasibility, and effectiveness.
    • Researches, develops and presents statistics, data, anecdotes and other information on sports exchange activities, orally or in writing, in response to inquiries from the public, Congress, Division Chief, Office Director, or other office entity.
