Current Department of the Interior (DOI), Bureau of Safety & Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) employees serving under a permanent competitive service appointment in Camarillo, CA.
Incumbent serves as Deputy to the Regional Director and assists the Regional Director in providing the leadership, direction and supervision necessary to administer all program missions in the Pacific Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Region (Region), which includes California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii and the Pacific U.S. Trust Territories. The Region’s responsibilities encompass the enforcement of safety, environmental compliance and resource conservation requirements of activities on and associated with OCS energy and mineral leases issued by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) in the Region.
BSEE has determined that the duties of this position are suitable for telework only during an emergency or natural disaster.
Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. Any travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the responsibility of the selected employee.
