This position is located in the Resource Management Directorate of the Voice of America (VOA). The incumbent is an Administrative Assistant responsible for assisting the Executive Officer and Administrative Officer on administrative program areas managed by the Directorate, such as, personnel management, requisitions, payment of purchase orders and other contract talent.

Recent graduates who have completed, within the previous two years, a qualifying associates, bachelors, masters, professional, doctorate, vocational or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution; veterans unable to apply within two years of receiving their degree, due to military service obligation, have as much as six years after degree completion to apply.

(Preference eligible veterans who were precluded from applying due to their military service obligation, begin their 2 year eligibility period upon release or discharge from active duty. However, eligibility cannot exceed 6 years from the date on which the degree (or certification) was completed.
Proof of Recent Graduate eligibility: A copy of your transcripts showing degree conferral. An unofficial copy is sufficient at time of application, however, if selected, an official college transcript will be required prior to entering on duty. Copies of degrees, certificates and diplomas are not considered acceptable documents to determine Recent Graduate Program eligibility.
Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the course at a U.S. accredited college or university. The successful applicant is placed on a one year Excepted Service appointment and receives training and professional development, completes an Individual Development Plan (IDP), and is assigned a mentor. Under the formal training program, applicant will be provided a mentor and execute and Individual Development Plan outlining training requirements and program expectations. Participant who successfully completes the program may be converted to term or permanent positions, however, conversion is not mandatory or guaranteed.
