Current members, those who want to join or transitioning military members.
(1) Arkansas Army National Guard (AR ARNG) Technicians; (2) All members of the AR ARNG/ANG, (3) Individuals who are not members of the National Guard but who are eligible to acquire membership in an available and compatible military grade for excepted technician positions. (Upon selection, must be a member of the Army National Guard).
(1) Manages supply activities to include support of inventory control, storage, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, and other related activities using both Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and non-ERP systems. (2) Reviews procurements through the appropriate ERP and vendor based web sites. Analyzes requests to ensure items being ordered are authorized. Coordinates payments to GSA, prime vendor, and local vendors by Government Purchase Card. (3) Develops and applies standards to manager referred transactions. Coordinates with Continental United States (CONUS) supply sources (private and public) on materials needed to alleviate delays. Validates due-in transactions and researches items delayed in shipment. Processes Shipment Discrepancy Reports (SDR) and Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR).(4) Ensures proper types and amounts of supplies are available to support requirements. Analyzes and researches to determine authorizations, substitutes, and trouble-shooting of problem areas. Reviews inventory on-hand, requisitioning objective, contingency stocks, and develops courses of action based on these conditions. (5) Analyzes vendor reports to determine the destination of expended funds. Develops reports for the Supply Systems Analyst based on findings. (6) Manages supply transactions based on dollar limitations, status of Obligation Authority, consumer funds, coordinating with requisitioning activity and the source of supply. Coordinates with Budget Analyst, S&S Officer, and comptroller personnel.(7) Manages excess supplies and equipment IAW AR ARNG JOINT FORCE HQ AR procedures to determine the appropriate disposition. Manages the DOD Activity Address File (DODAAF) to include additions, changes, and deletions.(8) Supports mobilization and demobilization by managing rapid fielding initiative (RFI) push packages). (9) Manages stocks assigned to various classes of supply. Develops reports that track on hand supplies to ensure accurate accountability. Processes requests for operation rations, including commercial subsistence and commercial meals, requests for cash meal payment books and validates cash meal payment book transactions, annually, with units. Processes CL II off line request. (10) Processes requests for ammunition. Processes ammunition receipts from depot, ASPs and turn-ins from units. Uses the SAAS-MOD to process all ammunition requests.(11) Performs other duties as assigned.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS:
Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is an Excepted (Dual Status Military Technician) position that requires active membership in a compatible skill in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Selectee must be a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and be assigned to a compatible military position in JFHQ in Enlisted Career Management Field (ECMF) 92. Must become compatible within 12 months of appointment.
Military Grade Requirement:
- Minimum Military Grade: SPC/E-4
- Maximum Military Grade: SSG/E-6
Compatible Military Assignment: Selectee must be a member of the Arkansas Army National Guard and be assigned to a compatible military position.
IMPORTANT NOTES (AS APPLICABLE): Upon selection for this position, individual must possess or initiate a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation. A favorable determination based upon investigative results is mandatory for this position. Failure to meet these requirements will result in termination of employment. A pre-placement physical is required if not already current. Upon selection, must complete mandatory Full-Time Support (FTS) Training at the Professional Education Center (PEC) within six months of assignment (if applicable, training will be coordinated by the supervisor). Individual must meet all military requirements of the position without creating a grade inversion, as determined by the Human Resources Office (HRO). Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor or wage leader (Grade Inversion). Enlisted members currently at a higher grade than allowed by the position (see Military Grade Requirement above) may apply; however, they must administratively reduce prior to appointment and provide confirmation of the reduction to HRO.
