    This position is located in the Office of Business and Technical Services (OBATS), Smithsonian Facilities, Smithsonian Institution. The employee provides a variety of services related to human resources management, training, and development.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides advice and guidance to supervisors and managers on personnel matters involving a range of requests for personnel actions including recruiting, selection processes, leave administration, pay, disciplinary issues, performance management and awards.
    • Participates in the preparation of personnel action requests, tracks the status of personnel actions, and ensures that actions are properly completed.
    • Researches, analyzes and applies Federal personnel management laws, regulations, policies and procedures in order to perform a wide range of personnel management duties.
    • Participates in developing, reviewing, and revising unit personnel policies, procedures and work processes.
