    Summary

    This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for assisting in analyzing program compliance, statistics/trends, and entering data into the DoD Cyber scope (DCS), Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), and USCYBER web-based applications, as required.

    Responsibilities

    As a IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) at the GS-2210-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Serves as an Information Technology Specialist, technical adviser, and action officer providing cyber security support for sensitive and complex programs, issues, and problem sets.
    • Advises the Senior Information Security Officer regarding cyber security and cyber workforce policy; responsible for providing guidance and input to the development of a comprehensive Joint Staff Cyber Workforce Improvement Program.
    • Provides compliance reporting guidance to JDIR/sub-component cyber points of contact personnel to include, but not limited to, the DoD CIO Cyber security Scorecard (CS), FISMA Cyber Workforce Annual Report, USCYBERCOM Issuances, JS Action Processing (JSAP), and others as required.
    • Exercises sound judgement to formulate, evaluate, and correlate JS cyber security posture to include risk management oversight for JS Mission networks and applications in support of the component Chief Information Officer, Senior Information Security Officer and Action Officer.
