    Summary

    These positions are located in the Office of Administration (ADM), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), Operations Branches A and B. The supervisors are Joseph Widdup, Operations Branch A and Monique Williams, Operations Branch B. These positions are in the Bargaining Unit.

    These positions are subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

    Selectees will be subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

    Responsibilities

     As a Contract Specialist in the Office of Administration (ADM),  Acquisition Management Division (AMD) the selectee(s) will perform a variety of duties in support of contract negotiation and administration, award, termination, acquisition planning, and procurement. Serves in an intermediate developmental capacity providing advice and assistance related to acquisition processes and prepares solicitation documents for contracts and interagency agreements.

    Assisting in developing solicitation documents for contracts and interagency agreements, evaluating responses, and making award recommendations, preparing and issuing solicitation documents for contracts and interagency agreements. Acquisitions are typically negotiated, awarded, and administered for electronic and information technology services, equipment, and software; specialized nuclear research projects; technical assistance projects; administrative support services; and management-oriented projects.

    As required, assist program and administrative offices in the preparation of acquisition planning documents. Assisting in the preparation of requisitions, as necessary. Advising and/or consulting with requiring offices in planning for, defining requirements of, or developing the approach for acquisitions. With assistance from Senior Contract Specialist, determines adequacy of documentation, records and other supporting material, in relation to the standards set forth in governing regulations.

    Preparing proposed acquisition-related contractual documents and other staff papers for approval by contracting officer to include: negotiation memos, determination and findings, required reports, and other supporting information for the official contract file.
