As a Procurement Analyst, you will provides expertise, guidance and support to regional users of the PBS acquisition system as well as to the users of the systems with which the acquisition system interfaces. Serves as a national project manager on initiatives pertaining to usage and/or improvement of acquisition systems.

Creates procedures and policies that improve how PBS acquires services, construction, products, or supplies. Provides timely, expert guidance in response to regional and organizational requests in the area of services construction, products, supplies required sources.
Collects, analyzes and distributes usage and performance data, in easy to use formats, to encourage consistency, improvement and increased usage of acquisition related systems. Communicates frequently with regional acquisition professionals to strengthen the overall usage and performance of PBS acquisition systems. Serves as a PBS representative and liaison with systems managers/IT professionals involved in the maintenance and/or management of systems which interface with the acquisition system.
Develops assignments based upon priorities and consideration of the complexity of the work as related to the capabilities and availability of the team members. Develops national acquisition strategies in support of PBS business.
Develops strategies and methods, collects appropriate data, analyzes results, and provides specific recommendations regarding acquisition initiatives and programs. Makes specific recommendations for changes to improve management and/or operations for acquisition issues.

The GS-14 base salary range starts at $89,370 per year. Locality pay will be determined once a selection is made and duty locations has been established.
Specialized experience is one year of experience equivalent to the GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience overseeing an organization's acquisition policy activities related to the contracting function; ensuring that federal and agency acquisition regulations and statutory requirements are implemented across the entire spectrum of procurements; and overseeing the development, implementation, and communication of acquisition policies that directly affect the terms and conditions in contracts throughout the organization.
