    This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) which is an independent legal agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides legal advice and services on a centralized basis to the Secretary of Agriculture and all other officials and agencies of the Department with respect to all USDA programs and activities.

    The primary purpose of the position is to provide professional legal services to major components of USDA and its agencies.

    • Litigation of cases and appeals before Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
    • Customer service and communication to client Agencies and Mission Areas.
    • Training as requested by management in civil rights, labor and employment law.
    • Legal research and opinion-writing on novel and complex issues.
    • Assisting in other litigation responsibilities as requested by management.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
