    This position is located in the Washington Headquarters Services, Financial Management Directorate, Office of the Secretary of Defense, WHS Manpower Management Office. Serves as the principal advisor reporting to the WHS FMD Director, related to organizational management and manpower planning and execution on behalf of the Secretary of Defense, Deputy SecDef, Office of the Deputy Chief Management Officer, and the Director of WHS.

    Your typical work assignments may include the following:

    • Oversees and directs the full spectrum of activities related to the OSD and WHS Total Force Management Program
    • Serves as the "honest-broker" responsible for planning, administering, and executing OSD-wide and WHS management and assessment programs
    • Provides leadership in setting expectations and fostering a working environment where team members work together cooperatively and effectively
    • Provides oversight and management of instruments to include directive-type memoranda, operating instructions, and the OSD and WHS manpower data base
    • Formulates program goals, plans, policies, procedures, and work plans to include operating budget and contracts

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
