    The incumbent will be responsible for providing clerical support for human resources compensation as well as participating in special HR projects to support approximately 3,000 employees. The requirements for the position are analytical ability, substantive knowledge of the programs, knowledge of pertinent process/records activities and payroll functions, economic principles and techniques, as well as, knowledge of HR policies and procedures relative to compensation and leave policy.

    • Reviews, verifies and processes a variety of payroll and time and attendance data impacting pay, electronic funds transfer (EFT) payroll deposits, leave, taxes, benefits, other deductions, and master payroll record information.
    • Provide general and technical advice and assistance relative to civilian payroll systems support policy, planning and procedures.
    • Prepare statistical data for comparison/trend analysis purposes and provide to supervisor for briefings.
    • Receives and analyzes problems relating to automated pay applications.
    • Review timecards in VA Time and Attendance System.
    Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

    Work Schedule: 8am-4:30pm Monday - Friday
