At the entry level of this position, you will:
-Observe and/or assist in collecting and reviewing technical information contributing to the development of non-regulatory strategies and approaches to reduce or prevent pollution and conserve natural resources.
-Under close supervision and direction, provide routine guidance and technical assistance to stakeholders.
-Assist higher graded staff in making routine changes to policy analyses for pollution prevention regulations, directives, and programs.
-Prepare documentation to support organization and Agency plans, policies and regulations.
When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
