The Executive Director for Data Governance and Analytics (DG&A) located in the Office of Enterprise Integration (OEI) and serves as the Department's Chief Data Officer working towards enabling operational performance by utilizing not only the data already available to the Department, but also tapping into new and innovative sources of external Veteran data. Defining the VA's data strategy and roadmap for the vast and varied applications of data analytics across the Department.
Establishes the strategic direction for building the agency's data management program and optimizing how the organization uses data both internally and externally.
Ensures robust data analytics infrastructure and predictive modeling capabilities are available and accessible to support strategic/operational planning and policy determinations while maintaining compliance with all applicable Federal regulations and statutes.
Serves as the Department's Chief Data Officer working towards enabling operational performance by utilizing not only the data already available to the Department, but also tapping into new and innovative sources of external Veteran data.
Oversees cross-Departmental data governance while simultaneously ensuring adoption and adherence to data quality and process governance by the VA's Administrations and Staff Offices representing healthcare, benefits and corporate requirements.
Serves as the Department's authority expert for data and analytics; promoting the use of government and industry leading data management technologies, and leading data acquisition strategies to support policies development and innovations to best meet the needs of the Veterans.

You may be considered non-competitively for appointment to this position if you meet the mandatory technical qualifications requirements.
