The USPS OIG is seeking students enrolled in college/university programs to fill our Student Cooperative - (Paid) position in the Risk Analysis Research Center (RARC) located in Arlington, VA. The Student Cooperative Program is available for continuous employment throughout the year, while enrolled in school. The selected candidate will work between 15 and 30 hours per week, and up to 40 hours per week when on school breaks.

Open to U.S. Citizens who are students currently enrolled full or part-time in an accredited college or university program, classified or academically ranked by semester hours as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student.
We are looking for an academic achiever who is intellectually curious, loves to research and write, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. The selected candidate will work for RARC, the OIG's research group, which digs into economic, business, and policy trends affecting the U.S. Postal Service. RARC's body of work has touched on a wide variety of topics, from conducting neuromarketing and consumer behavior studies, reporting mail use by region, to exploring innovations in 3D printing and blockchain technology. The Student Cooperative will work collaboratively with staff to help conduct research using a wide range of methods, and create and edit materials to support RARC white papers and other products. The position requires excellent writing and critical thinking skills, and experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis is preferable.
