    Office of Financial Management (OFM) is the largest organization within the OCFO, its HQ located in Washington, D.C., and two finance centers in Dallas, TX and Burlington, VT. OFM supports all financial management services for ICE (i.e., accounting transactional activities, financial reporting, operation and maintenance of financial systems, multiple feeder systems, travel and government charge cards) and is an accounting share service provider for five DHS Components.

    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Accountant completing the administrative work of a fiscal, financial management, accounting or budgetary nature within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial Management (OFM). Specifically, you will:
    • Serve as a senior level Accountant in OFM providing financial directives/policy, metrics, audit readiness, and electronic information management services that support key agency/department programs and components;
    • Recommend, develop, and publish new financial and accounting directives as well as revise existing guidance;
    • Plan, conduct, participate, establish, and maintain business processes that contribute to effective management control over program operations;
    • Ensure overall program plans are carried out as efficiently as possible with maximum utilization of resources; and
    • Represent OFM senior management in agency and interagency task forces and work groups as necessary, to support strategic policy and program objectives.
