-Serve as Ecological Risk Assessment Process Leader (EcoRAPL), facilitate the risk assessment process and assist the branch chief in all non-supervisory aspects of branch management.
-Provide expert advice and assistance to scientists and officials on a broad range of difficult pesticide risk assessments and risk characterizations.
-Lead the branch in the performance of risk assessments and characterizations, using exposure and hazard data for pesticides with significant environmental risks.
-Evaluate highly complex laboratory and field studies, drawing and combining results into assessments and applying the results of these studies into risk characterizations that are useful to risk managers in understanding pesticide environmental and ecological risk.
-Serve on inter-program and inter-agency work groups and present the Program's positions on risk assessment/fate issues.
You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or inter-agency agreements.
