1) Serves as Program Manager for the NPS Leadership Development Program.
2) As a senior member of the Learning and Development Leadership Team, serves as a principle advisor on workflow learning to the Chief of Learning and Development and senior leadership in the Workforce and Inclusion Directorate in service to NPS leadership, key stakeholders, and employees
across the service.
3) Sets a strategic course for the work unit. Plans and implements a holistic learning and performance program, evaluates priories and needs, sets program direction, redefines staff roles and functions, and approves and monitors progress. Develops strategies to secure necessary human and financial resources to fulfill organizational priorities.
4) Oversees design or acquisition and delivery of curricula and materials related to leadership development programs; revise existing programs and delivery systems, as well as develop new programs or specific intervention strategies.
5) Oversees the general planning, support, and supervision of the Leadership Development team members.
6) Champions workplace learning initiatives through clear and convincing written and oral presentations to individuals and groups at all levels within the NPS and to external partners and organizations on behalf of L&D and the NPS.

This position is assigned to the WASO Office of Learning and Development (L&D) in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the national program manager for the Leadership Development Program (LDP), which is a component of L&D.
The incumbent works closely with the Chief and Deputy Chief, L&D, senior managers, training managers, employee development officers, subject matter experts, and technical experts both internal and external to the National Park Service (NPS) to oversee the design and delivery of all curricula, methodology, and materials related to leadership development objectives.
The incumbent is responsible for a program that serves over 25,000 NPS employees, as well as countless employees in other government agencies and the private sector.
