    You will serve as a TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (QA INSPECTOR/COUNSELOR) in the NAVY'S JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING HOUSEHOLD GOODS/PERSONAL PROPERTY SHIPPING OFFICE of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK, NAVAL DISTRICT WASHINGTON.

    Responsibilities

    • You will act as a single point of contact for providing counseling and entitlements in arranging and coordinating pickup, personally procured move, shipment and/or storage of household goods, privately owned vehicles, and household goods inspections.
    • You will review orders and determine the extent of entitlements and eligibility for the shipment, drayage or temporary/non-temporary storage of household goods at government expense.
    • You will explain shipment and storage options, excess costs, special procedures for shipments under various types of orders, member/employee as well as Transportation Service Provider (TSP) responsibilities, and claims procedures.
    • You will ensure that the work of TSPs/contractors engaged in the physical handling (packing and crating) and movement of household goods comply with applicable service tenders, solicitations, contract specifications and other government regulations.
    • You will respond to all requests for information/assistance to include answering questions, providing claims information, providing assistance to determine pre-approved accessorial services, initiating shipment change requests, etc.
