    As a Supervisory Contract Specialist, your duties may include:

    • Providing the full range of supervisory or lead responsibilities over multiple sections/teams and providing technical leadership to senior-level acquisition professionals.
    • Ensuring the contracting decisions made by the organization are sound and consistent with all applicable rules, regulations, policies and directives, taking into account budget constraints and IC priorities.
    • Reviewing and preparing comments on proposed changes to NIH, Department and Federal-wide acquisitions laws, regulations and policies.
    • Analyzing acquisition trends and cycles to ensure balanced allocation of resources across the multiple sections/teams.
    • Advising on all phases of the acquisition cycle from planning to close-out as well as all policies and business operations that affect the office's ability to carry out its duties and responsibilities.
    • Providing recommendations and acquisition solutions to leadership.
