    Summary

    You will serve as a General Engineer in the Nuclear Weapons Surety Division, NWS Acquisition & Operations Branch of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.

    Responsibilities

    • You will provide management and guidance to cognizant Nuclear Weapons Security (NWS) Projects executed within the Branch.
    • You will work with the Defeat FM, technical branches/staff across to determine investment priorities and development needs to support the evolution and maintenance of NWS systems and equipment specific to the NWS escort vessels and weapon systems.
    • You will coordinate/collaborate with all external departments/agencies engaged in NWS and/or protecting high value assets. Including the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), other Services, and/or Department of Homeland Security Coast Guard.
    • You will advise on the merits of technology trades and ensure development efforts yield the most advantage to meet SSP NWS goals.
    • You will develop long term strategic objectives for NWS Project investments in support of future projects.
    • You will develop defendable budget packages including charts and other budget exhibits, to defend NWS Projects externally.
    • You will provide independent oversight of technical and acquisition programmatic elements to include: developing and modifying NWS Program objectives; developing, planning, and executing test and evaluation events.
    • You will advise the Branch Head on all future development efforts and proposals.
