    As a WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Plans, prepares, coordinates, staffs and presents DTRA positions on CWMD related issues.
    • Develops, provides, and presents formal briefings, talking points, reports, information papers, analysis, operations documents, policy, and plans supporting assigned projects to senior officials within DTRA, the DoD, and the interagency.
    • Provides expert CWMD advice to senior leaders based on master-level knowledge of national defense policy and issues with respect to WMD-related national security threats.
    • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with senior level counterparts within DoD, the interagency, and partner nations. Provides expert advice to senior DoD and USG representatives to support development and implementation of applicable CWMD strategic guidance, policy, plans, and activities.
    • Formulates, develops, participates, and oversees implementation of DoD and national-level counterproliferation concepts, policies, plans, programs, operations, training, education, and outreach.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
