Summary: The Fee Basis Position is located within our Emergency Department and Acute Inpatient Medicine Department, providing shift coverage as an Emergency Physician or Hospitalist. Position functions in an emergency room where you will be expected to provide coverage to treat, release, admit or transfer patients with acute medical, psychiatric or surgical needs, primarily during the regular hours and off-tours hours, including nights, weekends, and evening coverage. Additional responsibilities include providing care on the inpatient medical unit and ICU. Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine or Family Practice is preferred. The Acute Medicine Care functions will be inpatient care, which includes managing patients in the inpatient wards, PCU and ICU. You will play an active role in optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the inpatient care process from admission through discharge.
Work Schedule: This position does not have a set schedule and may be required to work weekend, holidays, evenings, and nights as needed to provide adequate staffing coverage.
