    This position of ECONOMIST starts at a salary of $81,548.00 GS-12, Step 01, with pay potential to $148,967.00 GS-14, Step 10.

    • The responsibilities described are for the full performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence, and limited complexity.
    • Prepare economic assessments and evaluations of immigration policy and USCIS regulations under the direction of the Chief Regulatory Economist.
    • Conduct extensive immigration and policy oriented research.
    • Plan and carry out projects for collecting detailed economic data.
    • Design quantitative models and qualitative evaluations, and other analytical techniques to assess complex data sets.
    • Execute and prepare regulatory evaluations and economic impact assessments under the requirements of various Executive Orders (EO) and laws that govern federal rule-making, such as EO 12866, EO 13563, and the Regulatory Flexibility Act.
