    The Robert J Dole (Wichita) VA Medical Center is seeking a full-time board certified or board eligible Diagnostic or Interventional Radiologist. The incumbent will carry an appropriate clinical workload, take part in continuing medical education (as defined by licensure), and will be involved with quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

    beginning March 8, 2019 candidates will be forwarded for review every two weeks until position is filled.

    Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
    Clinical: Provide radiological patient care to our veteran patients. This would include plain radiography, CT, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound in inpatient and outpatient settings. PET/CT interpretation and/or performance of interventional radiology would also be required. Engage in direct patient contact or performs tasks defined by statute or recognized custom of medical practice within the bounds of state law as defined by the board of professional licensure. Teleradiology currently provides after-hours coverage with diagnostic studies.
    Teaching: Provide guidance to rotating Radiology Residents and Medical Students on rotation from University of Kansas, School of Medicine. Skills needed would be to lead, give direction, provide knowledge, skills and abilities in the radiology field and train other professional staff in the radiology section.
    Administrative: Completes encounters/examinations in a timely manner. Attends hospital assigned committees, section meetings, and other administrative functions.
    Limited back-up call required if teleradiology is down.

    Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 0800-1630
