Provides direct nursing care to individual and groups of patients, under the guidance and directives of the Nurse Manager, Team Leader, and in collaboration with Service Chief. Evaluates patient care daily by assessing patients and reviewing nursing documentation. Ensures efficiency and optimal patient outcomes are achieved within established time frames by implementing best practices. Recognized keen abnormalities or instability of patient condition in a timely manner and other supervisory personnel informed of issues of significance. Facilitates and supports team building while establishing and assuring safe environments of care for patients, staff and others. Continuously improve veteran, family and staff satisfaction with VA care by promoting patient-centered care and excellent customer service. Develop career for professional development by continuing clinical education and gaining skills for knowledge sharing.
Work Schedule: Include rotating Shifts, working Holidays, Weekends and relief in the other areas as required.
