    About the Position: This position is located at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Directorate of Medical Services, Department of Dermatology. Tour of duty is generally during clinic hours M-F 0730-1600, but can include weekend on-call duty.

    • Primary clinical duties include providing inpatient and outpatient dermatology.
    • Procedures including skin biopsies, cutaneous cold knife surgery, cryosurgery, electrosurgery, phototherapy, dermatologic chemotherapy, patch testing, chemical peels, and laser surgery.
    • Diagnose and treat complex cases.
    • Provide guidance to rotating residents and medical students.
    • Orders and interprets laboratory tests and x-rays.
    • Participates in the physicians teaching program.
    • Guides, instructs, and trains interns, residents, and dermatopathology fellows.
    • Serves as the subject matter expert/consultant with regard to the specialized field of Dermatology.
    • Attends key medical meetings and conferences and serves as an authority on area of specialization.
    • Participates in the weekly dermatology residency program teaching conferences.
