    Responsibilities

    The incumbent in this role will function as a Clinical Documentation Analyst. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

    -Identifies areas of improvement in clinical documentation, performs analysis, conducts queries, makes recommendations, implements solutions, provides education and monitors changes in support of revenue enhancement and improved continuity of care.
    -Utilizes collaborative strategies to ensure that severity of illness and level of care are accurately reflected in the health record to optimize third party collections, VERA funding and delivery of quality patient care. Collaborate with others to implement changes to support improved clinical documentation.,
    -Conducts clinical reviews as assigned and provides day to day oversight of assigned program areas and consultation regarding performance improvement. Provides ongoing monitoring to ensure improvements are being sustained.
    -Reviews and develops processes, policies and provides education to staff in clinical areas to improve clinical documentation.
    -Extracts data from VA's corporate data systems and/or develops database applications to collect new data, conduct surveys, or provide other tools to collect acquired information and update reports.
    -Maintains data components and records associated with assigned clinical reviews, which includes tracking and trending of data, aggregating into reports, insuring compliance with established timeframes, and facilitating improvement action plans.

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
