The IPVAP Coordinator ensures a robust IPVAP is developed and maintained in accordance with VHA guidance. The IPVAP Coordinator is responsible for managing the operations of the program and for providing social work services to Veterans, caregivers, and staff who participate in the program. The IPVAP provides screening prevention and intervention services to Veterans, their families, caregivers, and staff. The program focuses on developing a culture of safety and adopts a holistic, trauma-informed approach to services and support for those who experience and/or use Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)..
The IPVAP Coordinator practices at the advanced level, has specialized knowledge in the field of IPV, expands clinical knowledge in the profession, administers a facility-wide program, provides training, consultation, and guidance to colleagues, develops innovations in clinical practice interventions, and provides task and program supervision, as appropriate.
