ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant, accurate and actionable geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA's civilian, military and contract personnel evaluate imagery, maps, charts, multiple layers of foundation data - such as terrain, elevation and gravity - and the full spectrum of visible and invisible light in order to help users visualize what is happening at a particular place and time. Our intelligence officers go beyond describing 'what, where and when' to revealing 'how and why.' Our work enables decision advantage for our policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders. NGA is in search of User Experience Architects who can apply user-centered design principles to enhance the end-to-end customer experience across domains, platforms, and enterprise systems. As a User Experience Architect at NGA, you will work with customers to translate requirements and operational goals into web-based designs creating high-quality web experiences from concept to execution across various platforms. You will be part of multidisciplinary teams who apply user-centered design principles to build reliable and seamless interfaces across enterprise systems. User Experience Architects create and develop influential material (workflows, diagrams, flowcharts, user scenarios, etc.) that promote intuitive user-centered design navigation and comprehension. They consistently apply design principles to an array of complex design problems and provide comprehensive solutions. User Experience Architect develop strategies, structures, and plans to execute user-centered design ideas and projects from an interaction and visual design perspective. They identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and resolve or refer problems to appropriate entity. Band 3: User Experience Architects apply a variety of user-centered design principles to build seamless, consistent, and desirable interfaces for NGA enterprise systems. They lead routine web-based design activities, including gathering, validating, analyzing, and defining requirements; conducting research and best practice reviews; performing user engagements and testing (e.g., interviews, site navigation); and creating prototypes. User Experience Architects create and plan basic interfaces that promote intuitive navigation and enhanced user workflow. In addition, they share expertise across the team.
