The G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS, a major affiliate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, is seeking one full time faculty/staff physician for patient care and education in Non-Interventional Cardiology. Duties may include, but are not limited to, collaboration with Nurse Practitioners, Cardiology inpatient and outpatient consults, electronic chart reviews, outpatient clinics, telehealth clinics (if applicable) and trainee education. Duties may also include supervising, conducting, or interpreting certain Cardiology procedures such as stress tests, trans-thoracic or trans-esophageal echocardiograms, or electrocardiograms. Other duties may be assigned by the Chief of Medicine or their designee. BE or BC in Cardiology in addition to BE or BC in Internal Medicine is preferred. Research opportunities are available. Academic appointment at the affiliate is required to supervise medical school trainees.
