The ACOS - Behavioral Health is directly responsible for organizing and administering management of operations and is accountable to the COS for clinical practices across all organizational components within the behavioral health care program. Incumbent works closely with the COS in achieving the strategic goals and performance measures within the clinical area. He/she exhibits leadership that is characterized by substantial and continuous responsibility and accountability for integrated programs that cross service and/or discipline lines and influences organizational mission and health care. The incumbent functions as an administrator, educator, and consultant utilizing management theory in collaboration with the COS and other services. He/she must establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of medical center personnel and relate effectively with customers, families, and the community as well as program and service leaders at the local and network levels.
