    This position is part of the Defense Media Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for providing initial and ongoing training for DINFOS Instructors.

    As a INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEM SPECIALIST at the GS-1750-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:

    • Serves as lead and principal staff and faculty development instructor responsible for designing and delivering basic and follow-on staff and faculty development programs.
    • The Lead Instructor for the DINFOS Instructor Training Course (ITC) and is considered the resident expert in adult and accelerated learning.
    • As the Lead Instructor for ITC, serves as the subject matter expert for the planning, design, development, coordination, deployment and conduct of all resident instructor training programs.
    • Administers and provides instruction, mentoring and evaluation of student performance to determine achievement of ITC course requirements, which leads to assignment of instructor certification credentials
    • Administers, coordinates and certifies DINFOS master instructors under the schools Master Instructor Program and facilitates the Faculty and Staff Orientation Program.
    • Develops and maintains the Faculty Training and Development section of the DINFOS Information Guide (DIG) and other documents relating to staff and faculty development

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
