The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is seeking a technologist who is looking for an opportunity to learn from and contribute to the mission of the U.S. House of Representatives (USHR). The incumbent will assist with implementation of strategic modernization initiatives and identifying and evaluating new trends in technology that serves the USHR.

Pay grade at or below E-5 or O-3; 20% or greater service connected disability rating (Purple Heart recipients are exempt from the service connected disability rating requirement). 4. Veterans who are in receipt of a 20-year or Temporary Early Retirement (TERA) are not eligible for the program. NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED.
1. Assisting in the implementation of proof-of-concept technology projects.
2. Assisting in migrating technology to the cloud.
3. Researching and recommending technology solutions to solve business problems.
4. Assisting with strategic initiatives through collaboration with junior to senior level engineers, architects, and technologists, as well as USHR leadership and commercial vendors.
5. Performing other official duties as assigned.

Detail oriented; excellent organization skills; excellent communication skills; strong computer skills; ability to complete projects within timelines and under minimal supervision. Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional and courteous work disposition; ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling sensitive information; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
High School Diploma required. Some college level classes preferred but not required.
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
All evaluations will be conducted by the Chief Technology Officer.
