    This position is located in the Office of Overseas Schools, Bureau of Administration. The Office of Overseas Schools (A/OPR/OS) is responsible for the Department's Consolidated Over Schools Assistance Program of grant assistance to over 180 overseas American-sponsored schools in 130 countries.

    This position is not eligible for telework.

    • Defines data requirements necessary to determine the kinds of information needed to evaluate established programs.
    • Analyzes, evaluates, and advises on the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, delegations of authority, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar functions of management.
    • Recommends disposition of grant applications to the Regional Education Officers and suggests level of support based upon past history and performance, available resources, and the defined purpose and scope of the request.
    • Establishes and maintains relationships with the general public, key officials, agency personnel, and or/or overseas posts and members of the school communities to communicate and disseminate program information.
    • Develops written materials that transmit information concerning the nature and purpose of the organization's programs.
    • Analyzes Request for Assistance Proposals to determine eligibility.
