    Under the direction of the Secretary of Defense and the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy (USD(P)), and pursuant to the 2015 National Defense Authorization Act (NOAA), the Defense Prisoner of War/Missing Personnel Office, the Joint POW/MIA Accounting Command, and the Life Sciences Equipment Laboratory were combined in January 2015, into a single Defense Agency - the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA).

    Your typical work assignments may include the following:

    • Provides digital reference and research service to large bodies of permanently valuable records.
    • Plan, organize, and direct the activities fo the DPAA Records Repository.
    • Develops goals and objectives to maximize both use and conservation of archival records.
    • Provide advice, guidance, and direction on a wide range of digital and non digital archival use care and administrative issues.
    • Perform professional digital and non-digital archival work in accessioning, describing, analyzing, arranging, and preserving the records held and/or produced by DPAA. Manage the active use of repository documents and use an archival software system.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft (to include short notice travel) to foreign overseas areas.
