    As a Supervisory Meteorologist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Provide overall supervision, direction and coordination of the Operational Monitoring Branch, which is focused on improving the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) operational suite of prediction, monitoring, assessment, and attribution products and transitioning those improvements into operations.
    • Develop and direct a research program to develop new and improved existing sub seasonal to seasonal climate prediction, monitoring, attribution, and assessment products to meet stakeholder requirements.
    • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and work with OMB staff and government and research community collaborators to improve existing and develop new products and services to meet those requirements.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 20% of foreign and domestic travel may be required.
