    Tour of duty:
    Rotating Tours of Duty to include days, weekends, and extended hours. Tours of duty may include 7:00am - 3:30P, 7:30am - 4:00pm, 8:00am -4:30pm, 08:30am -5:00pm, 9:30am - 6:00pm, or 11:30am - 8:00pm.

    Open-continuous announcement for the Austin Outpatient Clinic Specialty Clinic - Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Infection Disease, Mental Health, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology, Podiatry, Pulmonary, PM&RS, Rheumatology, and Women's PACT.

    DUTIES: The LVN performs patient care duties under the direct supervision of the RN. He/she provides patient care which is appropriate to the cognitive, emotional, spiritual, chronological, recreational, and diversional needs of the adult (ages 17-64) or geriatric (ages 65+) female Veteran population. The LVN demonstrates knowledge of changes associated with aging and provides care based upon age-related factors as specified in his/her competencies. The incumbent is directly responsible to the RN Clinic Supervisor. Demonstrated knowledge and ability to provide a full range of practical nursing care to patients with a variety of physical and/or behavioral problems, including the care of Veterans suffering from varied uncontrolled chronic diseases and/or disorders. Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic care to the Veteran populations. Provides effective education to patients and/or family members in relation to common disease processes, medication, and/or prescribed treatment regimes.
