This positions is responsible for providing education and training to all facility staff impacted by the program, as needed and in conjunction with technology changes. The incumbent is responsible for overall planning, coordination, implementation, management, and evaluation of clinical applications of Vetlink and ICB and to assure all action items or projects assigned are done in a timely manner. The goal of all work done by the incumbent is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness providing patients with the best possible customer experience.

- Represents the facility through attendance on weekly Regional support calls which are
technical support call/training sessions, attending monthly National call discussing future
program goals, recent developments and field input.
- In collaboration with facility management, incumbent maintains linkages and effective
communications with the VetLink IPT on national training to ensure optimal VetLink
educational opportunities for facility staff.
- Incumbent engages in outreach planning and activities, including work with potential
healthcare services via initiatives and programming.
- In cooperation with the facility educational department, establishes the core
requirements and standards for the VetLink program operations and staff roles at the facility.
- Ensures that the facility VetLink programs comply with internal and external Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO) accreditation processes.
- Assures that VetLink program staff has educational backgrounds, experience, training.
- Ensures that VetLink programs have a facility-wide emergency and disaster contingency
plan developed and in place, with National, Network, and Local standards.
- Procures clinic naming information from clinic leads to build and update Kiosk groups as
- Provides administrative support as requested to management related to Vetlink??????? program.
- In collaboration with HAS Program Trainer, conducts training and produces reports
related to Insurance Capture Metrics and ensures compliance with VHA Directives.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm, occasional weekends (outreach). Hours are subject to agency needs.
