    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.

    - Develop policy recommendations for Special Needs (Homeless) Assistance Program; develop for issuance regulations, handbooks, notices or memoranda to promulgate policy.

    - Participate in the national competitions administered by the office by applying selection criteria to applications and ensuring applications meet all applicable requirements.

    - Research and conduct analyses of the causes of homelessness, and the relationship of national welfare policy and poverty programs to homelessness and make appropriate recommendations for consideration which usually carry significant weight.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - 1-5 nights per month
