    Summary

    The incumbent serves as Assistant Director for Project Management (Design and Construction) in a staff capacity with responsibility for the oversight of design development and construction activity at the White House and President's Park.

    "Travel, transportation, and relocation expenses will not be paid. All travel, transportation, and relocation expenses associated with reporting for duty in this position will be the sole responsibility of the selected employee."

    Responsibilities

    • Resolves design problems and to obtain approval of changes that become apparent as construction progresses.
    • Advises on future programs to include cyclic maintenance and repair/rehab projects.
    • Participates in security planning, design and construction projects.
    • Reviews bid, contractor's proposals, contract specifications and designs.
    • Supervises a staff of 5 design professionals.
    • Assigns projects, coordinates and reviews work, and insures that schedules are met.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
