Serves as a uniformed police officer with the Supreme Court of the United States. Responsible for providing a full range of police services. Supreme Court Police Officers are primarily responsible for protecting the Chief Justice, Associate Justices, building occupants, and the Court's building and grounds. Additional responsibilities include Courtroom security, dignitary protection, emergency response, and providing assistance to building visitors.

The following documents are required:
*All applicants to the Supreme Court of the United States Police Force who have current or former U.S. military service MUST submit a DD-214 (and/or NGB 22 upon separation from the National Guard) in order to be eligible for consideration.
**Applicants to the Supreme Court of the United States Police Force must be able to complete 20 years of service under the federal law enforcement retirement system (identified with codes "M," "MR," or "MF" and referred to as "FERS and FICA Special") before the age of 57 years old in order to be eligible for employment as a Supreme Court Police Officer. For an individual without federal law enforcement experience, this translates to an age limit of 37 years old (in practice it is at least six months prior to turning 37 to account for recruitment processing time).
If you are over the age of 37 (or within six months of turning 37) and have prior federal law enforcement experience, you may be eligible for consideration if you have previously been covered under the federal law enforcement retirement system. If the total length of time you were covered under the "FERS and FICA Special" retirement system from prior federal law enforcement employment, plus the difference between 57 and your current age adds up to more than 20 years, you may still be eligible.
All applicants who are over (or within six months of) the age of 37 years old MUST submit SF-50s showing evidence of prior coverage under the federal law enforcement retirement system for the ENTIRE amount of time necessary to meet the 20-year requirement in order to be considered. Look for codes "M," "MR," or "MF" in section 30 of your SF-50s to determine prior coverage.
