Assists the Chief, Nutrition and Food Services by performing a broad scope of technical program support work in support of the Nutrition and Food Service. Performs general work such as the collection, compilation, research and/or tracking of data and program information, purchasing, budgeting, contracting, and other various duties. This includes compilation of data necessary for the annual Nutrition and Food Service report, summaries of customer service surveys, research on new trends, and information for budget reports.
Provides support and assistance on complex administrative matters affecting Nutrition and Food Service such as coordination of concurrence of Medical Center policies, staffing studies, cost benefit analysis, and overtime analysis. Performs administrative work, which includes preparing correspondence covering subjects of an administrative nature in support of the department in daily operations.
Prepares all documentation required for personnel actions and other Human Resource requirements, Serves as the liaison to HR and Nutrition and Food Service Supervisors to track progress on the hiring process. Monitors the timeliness of all performance appraisal requirements for department supervisory staff.
Provides training and advisory services tot he Nutrition and Food Service staff in all department administrative procedures ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.
Serves as budgetary control point clerk. Completes electronic 1358 requests in VistA, as well as increases and decreases throughout the fiscal year. Submits to manager in a timely fashion.
