    This position serves as a supervisory senior auditor on an audit team that is responsible for planning and conducting financial and performance audits of Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Financial Services Center (FSC) programs, functions, and operations. The incumbent serves as a senior auditor in a Division in the Director, Internal Controls, Auditing, and Risk division (ICARD).

    Physical Requirements: This work is principally sedentary but may require the employee to carry light loads or drive a motor vehicle. No special physical effort or ability is required to conduct this work.

    Major Duties:

    • Serve as the first line supervisor with the Operational Oversight Division under the Financial Support Service at the veterans Affairs financial Services Center (FSC)
    • Responsible for planning, conducting, developing, assessing, managing and executing objectives and methods for financial audits to include preparing audit findings reports.
    • Identify the required audit coverage to accomplish objectives and assists in the audit planning and coordination of team members.
    • Develop new audit approaches where no precedent exists.
