    About the Position:
    Serve as a senior Public Affairs specialist responsible for researching, assembling, writing and disseminating sensitive, critical and complex information for both internal and external publics on a wide variety of subjects in support of the Army's mission.

    • Review and analyzes programs and policies for their relationship to public opinion.
    • Develop trends on controversial issues raised by the news media or public.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of the internal information, news media relations and community relations programs in achieving greater understanding of the Army's mission and programs.
    • Analyze information needs of the public and of special interest and demographic groups and develops effective methods of meeting these needs.
    • Assist in determining and carrying out the objectives of the Army public affairs programs.
    • Develop public affairs plans for specific issues or projects, addressing the needs of the target audience, most appropriate communication techniques, and recommended approaches.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position 10% of the time.
